This is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. Today is the last article about the Fruit of the Spirit. In this article we will be talking about Temperance. Temperance is simply the act of keeping it together in different situations. It is our temperance in good situations and in bad situations. It is something that we as father have to be mindful of all of the time. As I was studying to prepare to write this article I came across a podcast where the speaker felt like out of all of the different characteristics that we have discussed temperance is the hardest to maintain.

So what do we have to do to maintain a good temperance? I find that it is best to spend time reading your Bible and Praying to God. By doing things like that you are able to ensure that you have a calmer temperament. The temperament that we have allows us to live joyful, loving, gentle lives or it can cause us to have a life of total despair. So we have to focus on the temperance that we have.

Fathers, Dads what ever you may go by this week lets work on our temperance. Our temperance is part of what our children and our spouses see that causes them to want to be around you or run away from you. If you are always angry when you are around your family then you have a temperament that is probably not all that pleasing. I want us to grow to be stronger fathers and stronger Christians.

This study that we have done about the Fruit of the Spirit has caused me personally to have to dig deeper into scripture. It has caused me to want to know more about what I must do in order to be closer to our Father that is in Heaven. I pray that whomever reads this article will be blessed and will take the time to go back and read the other articles. That they may be able to draw closer to God. That they may also be able to draw closer to their family. The Lord God is with us. I love each and everyone of you.

Yours In Christ,
